Bidding has skyrocketed for a weekend with four Sydney men auctioning themselves at online marketplace eBay, with a French buyer offering $85,100.

Marketing reps Corey, Mark, Zac and law student Lachie have put themselves up for auction at online marketplace eBay, welcoming bids for a weekend with four blokes in Sydney.

"Couldn't be bothered making the effort finding new friends at the pub?" the offer reads.

"Don't have friends who are up for a couple of beers, a few snags and a hell of a good time? Or just bored with your current friends and their obsession with nerd stuff?"

Inspired by a flight where he found himself happily seated next to Miss Texas, company founder Peter Shankman says he set up AirTroductions to give travelers a chance to choose their seatmates.

"It is for anyone who travels who does not want to have to deal with the psychological hell of sitting 2 inches from someone you don't know for eight hours," he said.

Sales Of Adult Diapers Soar In China Over New Years Holiday

Sales of adult diapers are booming as residents prepare themselves for long-haul journeys home on crowded trains for Lunar New Year.

Many supermarkets in Foshan, a city in South China's Guangdong Province, have reported an increase in sales of about 50 per cent.

The products, designed for incontinence, have been repositioned at prominent places on shop shelves since the start of the peak travel season for Spring Festival began on January 14, Guangzhou-based Yangcheng Evening News reported.

The number of train seats for people returning home for family reunions are limited because of the huge demand in the period.

It means large numbers of passengers have to buy standing-only tickets and have to jam into all corners of carriages, even in toilets.

General Practicioner Turns Clinic Into A Brothel

A New Zealand doctor has upset patients by converting his medical centre into a high class brothel.

Neil Benson says he will employ "beautiful, experienced professional girls" in the up-market bordello which will cater for locals as well as visiting tourists.

The GP closed his Coopers Beach medical centre last year after a dispute with health officials over the lack of financial and community support.

The doctor, who claims "a lot of support from the men in the community", believes there are similarities between the world's oldest profession and medicine, reports The Northern Advocate

Click to see the equipment in its laboratory setting on the basement floor of Gates Information Sciences. Crawling the web to obtain its link structure required an enormous amount of storage in comparison with typical student projects at that time. We show here the original storage assembly, containing 10 4 Gigabyte disk drives, giving 40 Gbytes total.
